FEAST

Friday, June 21, 2019  6:00 PM

Mix and mingle with Indigenous chefs from across Canada who are here to compete in the inaugural INDIGICHEF Culinary Competition.

Enjoy hearty bites prepared by competing and local chefs. Chefs’ creations for this special evening will be judged by guests in attendance and account for a percentage of their final culinary score.

Hosted by CBC’s Adrian Harewood, this special Indigenous Day gathering includes performances by dynamic, contemporary Canadian Indigenous artists:

Sixteen-year-old vocal sensation Emma Stevens who released a cover of The Beatles “Blackbird” in Mi’kmaq on YouTube this Spring with huge critical acclaim

Throatboxing Pioneer Nelson Tagoona

World Champion Hoop Dancer Dallas Arcand

Competition continues Saturday with black-box culinary contests judged by a panel of industry experts.  The Indigichef Champion will be announced Sunday afternoon from the RBC Celebration Stage.

Stay tuned for more information about participating chefs and the dishes they will be serving up at FEAST.
